This is a photo of the September block front. Notice that the points all touch the seams and are not cut off. This is achieved by piecing with a scant 1/4" seam. I can't stress enough the importance of learning how to sew a 1/4" seam on your machine. It is the difference between being frustrated with piecing and actually enjoying it.
