This is a photo of the July block front. Cut your patches accurately and sew with a scant 1/4" seam (about one thread less than 1/4" to allow for the width of the seam) and your block will come out perfectly. Be especially careful when you line up your seams. The seams pressed in opposing directions will help with this. I used areas with lots of flowers for the floral part and areas with mostly background and sparse viney things for the background just to see what it would look like. You do not have to do your blocks this way, but may do it if you want to try something different.
