This is a photo of the May block back. The seams are pressed to make the block construction easier. Seams in each row are pressed toward the piece with fewer seams or the darker fabric. I did cut out the backs of the snowballs this time. You just have to be careful that the resulting square is the same size as the original square. Notice the tiny four-patch in the middle that results from pressing the seams around in the same direction. I think I would press the long seams open next time. That's a good idea when the number of seams on each side is equal.
